Air
Málaga Airport (AGP) is located 8 km southwest of Málaga city center. From the airport, visitors can get to the city center by electric train which leaves the airport from the station opposite Terminal 2 every 30 minutes and are available from 7 am - 11.45 pm. The journey takes about 12 minutes and the fare is 1 €. If you are heading for Málaga, get off at the last station, Centro-Alameda, not the previous stop Málaga-RENFE, which is the main train station and is a 25-minute walk from the center of town. Alternatively, there are tourist shuttle buses and public bus service (number 19) that run to Málaga and can be caught outside Terminal 1 Arrivals and Terminal 2 Departures. Buses depart from 7 am until midnight. Taxis ranks are available outside the airport.

Train
Train companies that service Málaga are the national-owned RENFE and the express trains operated by Talgo. Talgo 200's high-speed train can reach Málaga from Madrid in under 4 and a half hours. Trains arrive at Málaga-RENFE station in the city center. For train schedule or online train booking, check out RENFE's website at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html. If you are coming from France, it may be worth getting a France 'n Spain pass from Eurail which offers unlimited travel throughout France and Spain under a specific time period.

Bus
Bus is the cheapest form of inter-regional transportation in Spain, and Málaga is well-served by many bus companies from most major Spanish cities. All buses chug into Málaga's bus station which is located behind the main train station.
